Dr. Shawn Moodley
Shawn is a managing partner responsible for SMI’s healthcare and educational business. Shawn is tasked with developing and driving a growth strategy that distinguishes SMI’s offerings to providers, payers, and the private healthcare and education ecosystem.
He has over 25 years of experience in industry and a proven track record for building teams and delivering results that enhance profitability. His expertise includes organizational strategy and transformation, physician engagement and leadership, business development, strategic partnerships, operations enhancement, and systems improvement.
Shawn held executive level positions at numerous healthcare and educational providers. In these positions, Shawn’s role encompassed executive and operational management, strategic planning, program development, organisational alignment, as well as operations and financial performance improvement.
Shawn has worked extensively in executive management and advisory roles at both corporate and government profiles in various APAC and African countries and is a recognized industry expert with substantial experience helping clients deliver significant cost improvements, improve productivity, and adapt to new industry requirements.
Shawn sits on various corporate and government advisory committees, and he is sought after speaker and panellist, both locally and internationally on Business Process Reengineering and Modernisation.
Prof. Clive Smallman

Dr. Tom Tan
Dr. Tom Tan is a Certified GrowthX Instructor, Certified ExO Consultant, Certified ExO Trainer (the only one in Malaysia) and Certified Game Thinking Coach with all certification from USA.
He is also a Certified Business Strategy Professional from CERTA, UK. Throughout his 35 years’ career, he has led teams in leadership and organisational transformation, as well as change management as a result of digitisation of organisations and, has led both local and foreign staff through his exposure working in Malaysia, Thailand, and China.
He understands both technology as well as business and is able to synthesise the impact of technology in today’s business. His experiences in the corporate sector, as well as entrepreneurship, allows him to effectively link both theoretical and practical applications.
Prof Dr. Vinitha Guptan
A visionary and strategic leader with a natural propensity for high performance. As a Chartered Accountant who is also academically qualified with a Doctorate and coupled with industry experience, her views are both forward thinking and unconventional.
Her years of immersion in service-learning and community engagement focusing on diversity and inclusion mainly in South-East Asia has given her an innate ability to engage with all key stakeholders.
She now a Fellow of CMI, UK and also serves as a Regional Board Member of the Chartered Management Institute, Malaysia (CMI, UK) and contributes professionally as a member of the board of advisors and sits on various committees. She is a Senior Member of the International Economics Development Research Center (IEDRC), Special Advisor to Globsyn, India and technical advisor for AKPK AFBES, Malaysia.
Dr. Ravi Bamunusinghe
Founder SLSME, Business Adviser/Coach and visiting faculty member of the Postgraduate Institute of Management of University of Sri Jayewardenepura, who has commenced lecturing after three decades of industry exposure in business research and consultancy.
He is a founder member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) Sri Lanka branch. His doctorate from Malaysia University of Science and Technology is dedicated on enabling growth of SMEs, business modeling and entrepreneurship. He holds Master’s degrees from University of Surrey, UK and University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka.
Currently he is engaged in development of SMEs in Sri Lanka as well as in the blueprint committee and the jury of SME Development Awards.
Susan Furness
A brand & communications specialist, Susan is dubbed an Alternative Strategist working at the intersection of strategy, spirituality, and digital, including Web3.
She holds an eclectic mix of certification – Edgewalker Mastery, Spiritual Intelligence, Ideas Facilitation, Conflict Conversations, and Wellbeing. Susan is active in start-up advisory, known as a profound wordsmith, and plays a leading role amplifying the global conversation around the Metaverse and NFTs.
